    Two open divisions: Men’s and Women’s Open. No weight classes, no short cuts, just strength.

    Prizes will be awarded to top lifters in each division and all scores will be uploaded to Grip Sport International where they will be sorted into your weight class and ranked nationally and globally.

    The girlies are taking over LBR! Come climb, hang and party with us. Enjoy complimentary drinks from Juneshine, vegan bites from local legend @VeganBahnmithao and sweet treats from @CrusherzPopz. Get creative with flower bouquet station by @Floresonfilmn and design your own custom GorpGirls t-shirt at our DIY merch booth. And last but not least, sounds by @jordanbrownsounds.

  • Pacific Town Club at LBR

    Join PCT - a leisure club focussed on creating space and connection for black and brown folks - for a FREE night of climbing. This is an all ages event where everyone is welcome. If you’ve never climbed just bring comfy clothes and good vibes. We’ll take care of the rental shoes and everything else.

  • Clinic Madness

    Escalemos Event

    FREE CLINICS, FREE CLIMBING, FREE SHIRTS. Join us for an evening of growth and trying hard. Featuring free raffle prizes from Madrock, LBR and Escalemos. We’ll also have a Remora Pro Demo and Madrock pop-up shop.

  • OEM soundbath

    Join OEM Care and Arc’teryx Los Angeles for a sound bath followed by climbing at LBR. Attendees will be invited to mediate for the first hour to revitalizing sounds by Modular Sound Bath. Guests are then welcome to participate in a post meditation climb. OEM will be providing Rehydrating Drinks. Participants who arrive early will receive a free gift bag with exclusive product.

  • Arc of Movement Series

    [2 week coaching blocks]

    Arc’teryx athlete and sweetheart Ross Fulkerson will be blessing the community with 2 part climbing clinics. This is open to all skill levels - dive deep into off-the-wall techniques like visualization, breathing and high-flow warm-ups.

  • Our goal in collaborating with Arc’teryx for this year-long gym residency is to highlight the groups and individuals who continue to invigorate and build psyche within our climbing community. Staying motivated and engaged can be really difficult, and often the extra push comes from those small voices that get overlooked. Whether it’s the group meetups we all take for granted or the homie offering some small service to customize our gear—sometimes that extra flare on your chalk bag is all you need to get back at it and make use of your time and investments. Through parties, sessions, and creative events, we celebrate the artists, organizers, and local heroes who give climbing culture its soul. Over this year, expect big vibes, live music, art, and old-school energy—where everyone’s hyping each other up to try just a little harder. Big thanks to Arc’teryx for making it happen.

  • Thanks to Arc’teryx, all customer-facing costs are FREE (entrance and rentals).

  • Climbing is the centerpiece of each event, but each one is hosted by a different group and brings its own unique vibe and satellite features.

  • Via RSVP links we share through our Instagram (@long_beach_rising) or our newsletter—which you can sign up for by filling out a waiver through our waiver portal. Sign up for our newsletter and follow us on Instagram to stay tuned to our schedule of events.

  • Yes. We are not affiliated with any other gym and have our own waiver you’ll need to sign to climb with us—even if you’re not climbing. Click here to fill out a waiver online.

  • Some events have age prerequisites, but most are kid- and family-friendly. Check the details of each specific event for confirmation.

  • We don’t have a dedicated lot. However, we recommend checking [list specific streets or lots] or using neighboring lots from businesses we’re friendly with and/or who allow us to use their parking areas.

  • No, you just need an active waiver on file with us. And if you have an awesome time, memberships are always available at the front desk during events.

  • We’re the only gym in LA County to offer sliding-scale membership options through our nonprofit partnership with ALLRISE Climbing, to make climbing more accessible and less financially dependent.

  • We are a bouldering-only gym. Our highest walls are 15 feet above the mats, but not every climb goes to the top, so there are plenty of options even if you’re afraid of heights. We have down-climbing holds to help you come down gradually. And remember, you control how high you climb. Don’t go beyond your comfort zone if you’re not feeling confident. We have 18” padding under all our climbing walls. Still, if you’re unsure about how to fall, ask our staff for a quick tutorial on proper technique.

  • If you’ve never climbed, our staff can provide basic instruction for free.

  • Just active clothing and climbing shoes. If you don’t have your own shoes, we have free rental shoes for you to try.

  • Absolutely.

  • No, there’s not.

  • The minimum age is 4. Kids under 13 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
